Leoul Mesfin is a 16 year old senior student at Gibson School Systems located in Addis Ababa (Ethiopia) where he received the best student awards in Mathematics, English and Penmanship.
Enthusiastic and curious with a strong taste for learning and competing, Leoul tends to pursue fields of study in the computer sciences with focus on technology and software development.

Davids Bwana, 18 years old, from Feza Boys Secondary School in Dar es Salaam (Tanzania) has emerged country winner in the Essay category.
He entered the competition to further his love for science having studied History, Geography and Literature. His keen interest for learning and his creative energy allowed him to win the appreciation of the Jury.

Best overall Poster 2016

Emmanuel Ochenjele (18) is an art student of Christian Discipleship Mission International Academy (CDM) in Gboko, Benue State of Nigeria.
His poster particularly struck the judges for his depiction of a constellation of diverse satellites all contributing towards the advancement of solutions to challenges such as global warming, conservation of biodiversity and stable energy supply.

Aobakwe Letamo is a 18 year old student at Lotsane Senior Secondary School in Palapye (Botswana). Aobakwe jumped at the opportunity to participate in the DStv Eutelsat Star Awards competition inspired by his day to day experiences, observation and sense of creativeness and his knowledge of art.
